Recognize these photos? If you’ve seen Star Wars, you probably do.
This the abandoned set of Tatooine, Luke Skywalker’s home planet. A photographer accidentally stumbled upon the set, which sits in the Tunisian desert. They sit in perfect stillness, at the crest of the Sahara Desert, eaten away by dust and sand.
This made me think. What if, in thousands, or hundred of years, humans dug this up, in an archaeological dig of some sort and thought that this is how we lived. See, they’d be getting a whole false set of information about our life times.
Even more so than that, which if, certain things that we’ve dug up in archaeological digs are merely just theatre/play sets, and we think that they were made for a particular reason.
I don’t know, kind of just made me realise how weird that would be.It’s one of my life goals to visit the Lars Homestead and watch the sunset…
There was actually a project a few years back to go out and restore the homestead. So it probably looks better now than in these pictures.

………wat? Is there a gas leak in here? I’m confused as to why this exists, or more importantly, who thought this was a good idea? I mean, yes, MLP: FiM has taught me not to judge a book by it’s cover, but…really? I’m not sure how to feel. My right brain says ‘PONIES PONIES PONIES’ but my left brain says, ‘This is clearly more for girls than the actual SHOW is, and that’s saying something.’
Bronies wasn’t even on MLP’s demographics. Yes,not even Friendship is Magic. Too many forget that.

Don’t get me wrong, I know the demographic. I’m not blind to that. I was just saying that ‘Wow, they basically turned MLP MORE for young girls with this, and that’s surprising.” The movie here has moved past ‘If you get caught watching it as an adult male, you can explain it away pretty easily and even maybe get people to watch it’ (which is where most cartoons actually fall, if they’re not edutainment toddler shows) and right into ‘There’s no way to explain this away if you get caught watching it, because noone should want to who isn’t a pre-teen girl’. It seriously looks kinda terrible, to me.
The only thing that bothers me a lot is the skin tone. But I think I could get use to it :)
Suggestions on the internet:Keep a porn tab open just in case because that is easier to explain.
Okay seriously though, I do agree with you that they are aiming for the girls specifically this time with Equestria Girls. And you know the Bronies, overreacting and all.
If there is really a need for me to explain why do I watch EQG , I would say: I like the story and music in it. Don’t judge a book just by its cover :)
